dr. mr. H.P.A. (Hamilcar) Knops (senior scientific staff member)
Hamilcar Knops has been a senior scientific staff member at AWTI since 2015. His previous activities include working as a senior researcher at the Faculty of Technology, Policy and Management at Delft University of Technology (TU Delft) (2008-2015) and a scientific staff member at the Scientific Institute for the CDA (2005-2013). He began his career at the law firm Houthoff Buruma (1999). Hamilcar studied theoretical physics and law at Leiden University and Harvard University. He did his doctoral research in Leiden and Delft (2000-2005) obtaining his doctorate at TU Delft with a thesis that presents a method for designing regulations for complex sectors and applies it to the electricity industry.
