dr. K.A. (Kathleen) Torrance (senior scientific staff member)
Kathleen Torrance has worked as a senior scientific staff member at AWTI since 2013. She was deputy secretary-director from 2017 to 2021. Before joining AWTI, Kathleen’s career included working as a scientific staff member at the Dutch Education Council (2004-2013) and as a policy officer at INholland University of Applied Sciences, Wellant College and Leiden University. Kathleen studied Education and obtained her doctorate at Leiden University in 1998 with a thesis entitled ‘Contemporary childhood: Parent-child relationships and child culture’.
From October 1, 2021, Kathleen will be seconded to the Rijks Innovatie Community (RIC) as program manager.
