Sharing and utilising knowledge

The Netherlands has an excellent track record in scientific research. However, AWTI has noted on several occasions that the Netherlands does not make optimum use of this research for delivering successful innovations in the market or finding specific solutions for societal challenges. More attention needs to be given to the sharing and utilisation of knowledge. Innovation is not just about knowledge development, but also about its utilisation. This demands actions on the part of knowledge institutes, but also in embedding the capacity to absorb knowledge in companies and strengthening network-building.
AWTI regularly advises on the sharing and utilisation of knowledge. Topics addressed include valorisation by knowledge institutes, the knowledge absorption capacity of companies, access to knowledge for the SME sector and open science.
